About

Our Core Beliefs:

A Boys & Girls Club provides:
A safe place to learn and grow
Ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals
Life-enhancing programs and character development experiences
Hope and opportunity

Our Mission:

To enable all young people,
especially those who need us most,
to reach their full potential
as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Our Vision:

We believe that every child, no matter where they are born, or to whom they are born, has the potential to be great, to be productive, to succeed and to soar.

We, the Boys & Girls Club of Camden County, will help them visualize and realize their future through programs that will both inspire and educate.  As an organization, we will be dedicated to our mission every day, with every team member and volunteer and in partnership with every community resource that we can bring to help us live this vision.

Our History:

The Boys & Girls Club of Camden County began with the hopes and dreams of one man, Mr. Lewis Katz. Mr. Katz grew up in Camden and generously decided to give back to the children living in the city that made him who he is today.  In January 2002, the Majorie and Lewis Katz Parkside Clubhouse welcomed its first members.  Based on the great success of the Parkside Clubhouse, in September 2007, the doors opened to a second Clubhouse in East Camden.  Both Clubs feature state of the art tech centers, full court gymnasiums, 6 lane swimming pools, and education centers.
Together the two Clubs now boast a membership of nearly 4,000 children.  Since its opening in 2002, The Boys & Girls Club of Camden County has become a safe haven for the youth who come through our doors each day.  Our Clubs have become places not only for Camden’s kids to play, but also to learn, grow, and develop into responsible and caring adults.
