Barbara Tolliver Rodgers wrote the book, Are you smarter than a Slave? A Lesson for the next generation African American!

Book Synopsis: The 1800's slavery communication tools (quilts) in this book were used by slaves in the Underground Railroad to escape to the North and into Canada. My mother, Mama Fannie made some of these quilts and quilted some of them in the fan style similar to some of the slave quilts I had seen in pictures.
