Beaudin Ganze Consulting Engineers, Inc. (BGCE) was founded in August 1991 by Tom Ganze, Denis Beaudin and Ed Herrera with two offices; Avon and Golden, Colorado.  Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) design and construction administration were the core services with St. Mary’s Hospital becoming the firm’s first customer.  From there, BGCE grew the MEP healthcare services staff and in 1994 commenced offering commissioning services, both retro-commissioning and mission critical commissioning.  During this continuing growth period, BGCE was awarded several Engineering Excellence Awards by the American Council of Engineering Companies which further spring boarded the company’s growth.

BGCE acquired its first aircraft to service its regional customers in 1996, continuing the firm’s regional expansion of healthcare, engineering and commissioning services.   The late 1990’s also brought BGCE’s first of over 50 LEED certified projects.  The firm now has 4 Platinum LEED certified project along with numerous Gold and Silver rated projects.

The firm’s primary focus on engineering intensive healthcare was a natural lead into large 5-star hospitality projects in the late 1990’s.  That sector growth plus accessibility afforded by the aircraft, further grew the firm’s staff and the broadening the firm ownership.  A new office was spawned in northern California, as well as an office in Fort Collins, Colorado.

In 2003, the firm added construction management services with the $7,200,000 central plant upgrade for the Arkansas Regional Medical Center in La Junta, Colorado.  BGCE continues to provide those services for preferred healthcare and hospitality customers.  The most recent service addition has been Technology systems started in 2006.

The firm grew to a staff of 81 members by 2008 and expanded to an office in Albuquerque, NM.  As of March 1, 2013 an additional office located in Jackson, Wyoming has been opened.  In response to the nation’s economic downturn, BGCE staff size from 78 members to 55 members in December 2008 and has maintained that level.  More recently, the firm has returned to the growth mode recruiting staff and adding new owner in 2013.

Beaudin Ganze Consulting Engineers, Inc. (BGCE) has brought clients energy-efficient designs and commissioning to thousands of projects worldwide for 21 years.  Since the firm’s inception, BGCE has approached projects with the overriding goal of providing solutions that foster value for clients and communities.
