About

Founded by director, Leila Al-Baldawi, the projects taken on have aimed to unravel societal barriers, explore the human condition and give audiences an intimate vantage point into transformative journeys. Our most recent works showcase a rich tapestry of stories, all featuring distinctive accounts of cultural, social and singular influences. Whilst modern cinema has maximised the aesthetic and auditory possibilities of film, honouring the integrity of our stories is at the heart of what Breakin Form do.

Established in 2020, Breakin’ Form is currently in production of a handful of local and international projects including Fatma Mizan's Short fiction Mama Wants to Go Home currently In Post Production and Nebiu Samuel's short The People Below, set to be filmed in Ethiopia at the beginning of October.
