CAVS Youth Basketball is one of the longest-tenured, most respected AAU Youth Basketball programs in the state, featuring uniquely-structured, NBA-style training for boys and girls, 5-18. It is a high quality, professional program where many past players have advanced to high school, college and professional basketball levels. Achievement is measured not only by athletic performance, but also through personal and academic development. Many players across all age divisions hold grade point averages of 3.5 or better. Most importantly, CAVS who spend time in the program, become productive members of the community.
Boasting a very successful championship track record in multiple age divisions, CAVS Youth Basketball's motto of “Preparation For The Next Level”, hustle, loyalty, commitment and respect have followed the premium organization during its 26-year focus on developing young student athletes to be successful, responsible young citizens both on and off the court. The overall CAVS basketball program builds confidence, stronger offensive, defensive, individual and team skills and effectively prepares each player for handling high-pressure/difficult situations that occur in sports. The uniquely-structured CAVS training program, (known for its intensity) offers players high-quality, professional coaching and solid support system, yielding visible results after the very first practice session.
Based in San Fernando Valley, CA, practices and competitions occur year-round. CAVS Elite travel teams participate in top local/national AAU tournaments & maintain a highly successful championship track record. Key points used by CAVS as a foundation for success are dedication, loyalty, hard work, commitment, pride, teaching of the fundamentals and sportsmanship. Youth are professionally trained for next-level basketball in a safe, fun and stable, family-friendly environment. The CAVS organization does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, color, or sex. Playing time will be determined by attendance (commitment to practices and scheduled games) attitude, ability and willingness to work hard.
The CAVS organization annually sponsors two prominent basketball tournaments, the CAVS Winter Classic and the CAVS Summer Classic. Annual tryouts for placement in CAVS Select Leagues (beginner, intermediate) and CAVS Elite Travel Team Leagues (advanced) are held at the beginning of each season, or by appointment, year-round.
The organization gives back to the community by sponsoring underprivileged youth, feeding the homeless and volunteering for community outreach events.
