About

California Receivership Group was established by Receiver Mark Adams in 1999 to address the dilapidated properties plaguing California Communities. Adams established CRG to be a complete turn-key solution to remediate dangerous properties. Our mission is to provide relief to the community surrounding a problem property, who have to live with the ripple effects that it causes every single day. Nuisance conditions do not end at the property line, they play out in property values, crime rates, and public health.

California Receivership Group and Mark Adams pioneered the use of receivership as a remedy to address code violations at nuisance properties, becoming the first receiver appointed under the California Health and Safety Code. Over two decades later, CRG has been at the cutting edge of this now well-established remedy, remediating problem properties ranging from single-family homes to apartment buildings, commercial properties, mobile home parks, motels, and hotels. CRG has worked on over 220 projects, for over 130 judges, over 100 cities and 34 counties.

Over the past two decades, CRG has gained vast experience managing the financial, political, social, and economic intricacies that accompany this extraordinarily unique enforcement tool. With our dedicated team of legal, operations, public safety, construction, and real estate professionals in every corner of the state of California, we are able to handle all aspects of the receivership process from start to finish.

Our philosophy is:

Each receivership property should pay its own costs of repair.

California Receivership Group is able to achieve immediate and effective results by deploying a team built specifically to address problem properties. Our diverse expertise allows us to tackle every aspect of nuisance abatement through health and safety receivership. We employ attorneys who specialize in receivership law, as well as engineering, construction, real estate, and public safety professionals, accountants, receivership administrators, professional organizers, and clean-up crews. Our extended network includes all aspects of property rehabilitation. For all of our projects, we incorporate local community resources and talent as often as possible. If we do not have the right person for the job, we will find them and bring them on board.
