The bike club's 47th annual CCC on Sunday, Sept. 8 starts at a new location, the Student Union at the University of Illinois Springfield. This year's CCC features all new routes from 25 to 125 miles in length. Riders will go east to Edinburg and beyond, enjoying new roads. Springfield Clinic is the Platinum sponsor. The largest bicycle century event in Illinois held outside a major metro area, the CCC draws up to 800 riders annually.
Riders who register for the Century on Sunday are welcome to attend several free events on Saturday, including a club ride, a historic ride, and a packet pickup party. On Sunday, a free 10-mile family ride will be offered in addition to the 47th annual Century.
