Carl Brister has had appearances on BET, NBC, and more. His
recent “I’m Still Here” music video is currently airing internationally
on VH-1, Magic Johnson’s Aspire network and has reached
#1 on PULSE TV/UPN network.
As a live performer, Carl Brister transforms when he hits the
stage and has performed live in Europe, Africa, The Caribbean,
and throughout the United States. His energy and passion
collide as he renders an arena-sized performance for everyone
who attends.
Born and raised in the city of Plainfield, NJ, Carl was 12 years
old when his dad came home with a 100 year old green upright
piano. Since then Carl not only writes but performs his songs
with passion and energy that audiences connect with in a powerfully
unforgettable way.
As a philanthropist, Carl Brister has been a long-time supporter
of HIV/AIDS outreach, The Young Father’s program of NJ, and
African Hunger Relief, and educational outreach for students in
urban schools. Having survived a tragic incident of sexual
abuse at the age of 5 years old, Carl Brister also uses his voice
to uplift others as a spokesperson for New Jersey’s Child Assault
Prevention (NJCAP) organization. His acclaimed single/
video "I'm Still Here" addresses the issue of sexual abuse and
how he has turned tragedy to triumph.
Carl Brister's 4th independent album entitled "Love + Life =" (released April 8th, 2016) broadens the singer/songwriter's sound he calls "Free" and blends R&B, Soul, Pop, Dance with authentic lyrics about relationships and uplifting the community.
