About

Cataldo Landscape & Masonry has been creating and caring for beautiful outdoor spaces throughout MetroWest Massachusetts since 1978. Now in its third generation, the company combines landscape design, lawn care, masonry, hardscape construction, seasonal maintenance, and snow removal to help homeowners make the most of their properties year-round.

Based in Needham, Massachusetts, Cataldo serves communities throughout the surrounding area, including Wellesley, Needham, Newton, Weston, Natick, Waltham, Dover, Medfield, Boston, Cape Cod, and beyond. The company works with both large and small residential properties, tailoring each project to the property, the homeowner’s goals, and the existing landscape.

Landscape design is at the heart of many Cataldo projects. The team can help transform an ordinary yard into a more inviting, functional outdoor space through thoughtful plantings, shrubs, gardens, lawn improvements, and complementary masonry. Whether the goal is to add color, improve curb appeal, create more usable outdoor space, or bring an entire property together, the design process considers how the different elements of the landscape work as a whole.

Cataldo also specializes in masonry and hardscape construction. Custom stone walls, patios, walkways, landings, steps, and other features are designed to complement the surrounding property while providing lasting function. Patio projects can incorporate brick, pavers, bluestone, or granite, with careful attention to grading, preparation, drainage, and the transition between hardscape and lawn.

For homeowners with pools, Cataldo can design and construct patios and planting beds around pool areas. These spaces require more than attractive materials and plants. The design also needs to account for water, regular use, safety, and how the new area connects with the rest of the property. Cataldo brings landscaping and masonry expertise together to create pool surroundings that feel like a natural extension of the yard.

Ongoing lawn and landscape care helps keep a property looking its best long after an installation or design project is complete. Cataldo provides services that include lawn care, planting and transplanting, pruning, seasonal maintenance, aeration and seeding, fertilization, and pest control. Seasonal cleanup can address the debris, weeds, overgrowth, and other issues that accumulate throughout the year.

The company also provides winter services, including snow removal, helping homeowners keep driveways and walkways accessible when New England weather arrives. This year-round approach allows customers to work with one landscaping team across multiple seasons instead of treating every outdoor project as a separate job.

Experience is a major part of the Cataldo approach. Jerry Cataldo is a third-generation landscaper and mason with more than 40 years of industry experience. He oversees projects from consultation and conceptualization through completion, providing guidance on design, materials, and construction along the way. Many members of the Cataldo team have also been with the company for 20 years or more, bringing specialized skills and long-term experience to each project.

For Cataldo, landscaping is about more than making a property look good. A successful outdoor space needs to work with the home, fit the property, function for the people using it, and stand up to the changing Massachusetts seasons. That means paying attention to the details, from plant selection and lawn care to grading, masonry installation, and the way one outdoor feature connects to another.

Whether you are planning a new patio, refreshing your landscape, improving your lawn, adding a stone wall, creating a poolside outdoor space, or simply looking for dependable year-round property care, Cataldo Landscape & Masonry offers a combination of landscape and masonry expertise backed by generations of experience.
