About

The Apostolate for Family Consecration was founded in 1975 by Jerry and Servant of God Gwen Coniker, parents of thirteen. As they raised their children, the Conikers looked for support in the Faith, but found little to help them live a holy Catholic family life. Through their experience, the Conikers recognized a call from God to support other Catholic families to grow in holiness, so they started the Apostolate for Family Consecration (AFC).

Our mission is to support and challenge Catholic families to grow in holiness, grow in truth, and grow together, so that they can become fully alive in Christ.

Through our events ministry and online formation, we lead families to an encounter with Jesus and accompany them in their journey of faith. Every day, our celibate members, married members, youth missionaries, and devoted staff pray and work for families. We want families to be holy and happy!

Holiness leads to happiness, the true happiness for which you were created: union with God. One way your family can grow in holiness is to renew your baptismal promises through an act of consecration to Jesus, through Mary, in union with St. Joseph and to live that consecration every day. The Seven Keys to God-Centered Family Living form a pathway to follow on the journey to eternal happiness with God in Heaven:
Prayer Life, Sacramental Life, Learning the Faith, Living the Virtues, Serving Others, Sharing the Faith, Sanctifying Daily Duties.

This spirituality of Family Consecration is one of the best ways we know of for families to grow in holiness and become fully alive in Christ!
