About |
Our mission is to better protect and heal families from trauma and its emotional impact. Founded in 2001, CHP is national recognized as a leading source for evidence-based mental health treatment and prevention of childhood trauma. Our vision is to replicate the Child HELP Partnership center’s well-documented results across the United States and abroad. The CHP team delivers free therapy in our clinic and community-based settings for children and their parents who have been exposed to violence.
In addition, CHP offers educational trainings to parents, other adults caring for children, and mental health professionals. Parents and caregivers are empowered with strategies to prevent trauma. Clinicians are empowered with scientifically sound therapies that mitigate the impact of trauma. All programs embed evaluation systems so that they are continually modified and improved.
