About |
Chosen, Inc. of Wisconsin is a faith-based nonprofit ministry committed to supporting foster, adoptive, and kinship families across southeastern Wisconsin. Rooted in Christian values, our mission is to foster forever families by living out the Gospel and ensuring every child grows up in a safe and loving home. Chosen was founded by Amalie and Jason Bowling, whose personal journey through foster care and adoption revealed the deep need for community support and practical resources for families walking similar paths. Today, Chosen is led by a team of individuals—many with personal ties to fostering and adoption—who are passionate about meeting families where they are and walking alongside them.
We focus our work in three key areas: support, community, and education. We offer tangible, emotional, and spiritual assistance; create spaces for families to connect and build relationships; and work to raise awareness about the unique challenges and needs of foster and adoptive families. Our programs are designed to reduce the financial burden families often face and provide meaningful, ongoing care and connection.
Chosen’s Family Closet program provides free clothing, gear, and essentials to foster, adoptive, and kinship families. Our Boxes of Blessings program delivers thoughtful care packages during times of need or transition. We’re also developing a Mobile Family Closet to bring these resources directly into local communities. Additional offerings include prayer support, Vacation Bible School, and educational programs that equip, engage, and encourage families as they navigate foster care and adoption.
Our events are a vital part of our mission. Each year, we host the Walk on the Wild Side for Foster Care at a local park—a family-friendly event that raises awareness and brings the community together. Our newest event, Tee Up For Chosen, is a charity golf outing benefitting our programs and outreach. We also host the Open Hearts, Open Homes Gala, an evening of celebration and support that honors foster and adoptive families through dinner, auctions, and meaningful connection.
Since our founding, Chosen has provided over 70,000 items to more than 700 families and organizations, serving more than 1,650 children across 13 counties. But our impact is not just measured in numbers—it's reflected in the stories of families who find hope, encouragement, and practical help through our ministry. Whether you’re looking to donate, volunteer, pray, or simply spread the word, there’s a place for you at Chosen. Together, we can make sure no family walks alone.
