Cruz is a 2-time NHRA Drag Racing Series Funny Car Champion (1992 and 2008) from Torrance, California. He currently is the driver and owner of Cruz Pedregon Racing, based in Brownsburg, IN, where he fields the Snap-on Tools Toyota Camry. Cruz Pedregon is in his 20th year of racing in the Nitro Funny Car Division starting his career driving for famed car owners Larry Minor and Joe Gibbs.
In addition to Pedregon’s two championships, he has amassed 29 career wins and 71 Final Round appearances.
