Cuatro Puntos" means "four points" in Spanish. The concept of "four points" conjures up varying images and interpretations among different people, and this very universality is the purpose and essence of the name.  Spanish was chosen both in homage to our original collaboration with an El Sistema program in Bolivia, and that fact that it is the most spoken language after English in our home town of Hartford, Connecticut.  Cuatro Puntos is a non profit organization which oversees the Cuatro Puntos Resident Chamber Ensemble, Music Moves Hartford, and various other projects that use the power of music to promote social change and empowerment of the underserved.
