About |
Cybernao is an Australian cyber security awareness and human-risk training business focused on helping people recognise and respond to scams, social engineering and other human-focused cyber threats.
Rather than trying to turn everyone into a cyber security expert, Cybernao helps people understand how cyber criminals manipulate trust, urgency, authority and emotion — and how to recognise when something does not feel right.
Cybernao delivers practical cyber awareness workshops, immersive training simulations, community education and scam-awareness sessions for businesses, employees, community organisations and individuals. Training covers areas including phishing, impersonation scams, business email compromise, AI-enabled scams, password and account security, reporting suspicious activity and safer decision-making online.
Cybernao was founded by Tegan DeClark, a university lecturer in Marketing with postgraduate qualifications in Marketing and Cyber Security. Her work combines cyber security awareness with expertise in marketing, consumer behaviour, communication and the human factors that influence decision-making.
Cybernao's approach is practical, interactive and designed for people with varying levels of technical knowledge. Training focuses on what people actually experience in the real world: convincing emails, unexpected phone calls, urgent requests, fake invoices, impersonation, manipulated trust and increasingly sophisticated scams.
Tegan DeClark is also available for media commentary, interviews, opinion pieces and expert contributions on topics including cyber security awareness, scams, social engineering, phishing, AI-enabled fraud, human risk, consumer behaviour, scam psychology, online safety and the changing techniques used by cyber criminals.
