With a passionate team of multidisciplinary talents, Ferryman Collective is a group of theatre-makers dedicated to furthering the art of live theatre in virtual reality, they takes their audiences on unprecedented journeys into fantastic worlds and stories previously thought to be the stuff of dreams.

Drawing from the experience gained developing their previous productions, PARA and Krampusnacht, which was a finalist for the PGA Innovation award, they went on to create a VR version of The Severance Theory: Welcome to Respite which premiered at Tribeca, an Official Selection of the 78th Venice International Film Festival, the Kaohsiung Film Festival, Anny Fest, Church of VR and is the winner of ‘Best Narrative Experience’ at London’s Raindance Film Festival, winner of XR Must ‘Best Live Experience’ and 'Best ixi Experience' from Giioii as well as the No Proscenium Audience Choice Award for 'Outstanding Achievment in Live Virtual Reality Production.'

Their 4th production, Gumball Dreams had it's world premier at SXSW where it won the Audience Award for XR Experience Competition. It then went on to have their International Premiere at the 79th Venice International Film Festival, and it’s Asia premier where it was the Winner of the VR Golden Fire Ball Award at the Kaohsiung Film Festival. It played at the Denver and Imagine Film Festival before winning ‘Best Immersive Performance’ at Raindance Immersive. Gumball Dreams was named the XR Must Winner of: Creator of the Year, Best 2022 Experience, Best Live Experience.

Born of the desire to explore what storytelling, interaction, immersion and entertainment can be rather than what it has been, they are defining a new generation of media with live performance in XR. Ferryman Collective is a new kind of virtual reality studio, paving the way forward in this brave new world.
