D House of Angels is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Detroit, Michigan, dedicated to empowering survivors of domestic violence and families experiencing crisis through housing support, trauma-informed services, and community-based programs. Founded by survivor and advocate Dalania Stevens, the organization was created to bridge the gap between emergency intervention and long-term stability.

D House of Angels provides critical support services designed to help individuals and families rebuild their lives after trauma. Core services include emergency and transitional housing assistance, case management, advocacy, mental health and wellness support, life-skills training, and access to community resources. The organization takes a holistic approach to healing, addressing not only immediate safety needs but also long-term stability, self-sufficiency, and emotional recovery.

In 2024, D House of Angels served more than 500 individuals, providing emergency assistance, hotel placements for families fleeing unsafe environments, and essential resources such as food, clothing, hygiene items, and transportation. The organization is currently expanding its impact through the development of a Transitional Housing Program, designed to offer survivors a safe, structured environment while they work toward permanent housing and independence.

The transitional home will provide:
    •     Safe, fully furnished housing
    •     Case management and advocacy
    •     Trauma-informed mental health support
    •     Life-skills and financial literacy education
    •     Employment and housing stabilization assistance

D House of Angels partners with local businesses, healthcare providers, community organizations, and faith-based institutions to ensure comprehensive, wraparound support for the families it serves. Through advocacy, education, and collaboration, the organization works to raise awareness about domestic violence, reduce housing insecurity, and strengthen community-based solutions.

Driven by compassion, lived experience, and a commitment to long-term impact, D House of Angels continues to expand its programs to meet the growing needs of survivors and families throughout Southeast Michigan.
