About

Diana Lynn is the author of “Told Through the Eyes of a Horse.”  She’s excited in taking part in this journey that God has planned for her in sharing His love through this Children’s Christian story.

As she raised Sterling, through Christ, she found her own personal spiritual growth in knowing God in Christ Jesus. Receiving Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of fifty, she, through the love from the cross, found her purpose in life. She treasures the divine opportunities that God has for her in sharing the heart of the gospel.  Between short term mission trips, she spends time going out and about in communities sharing the truth of God’s love to the young, old, and in-between.

What inspired Diana to write “Told Through the Eyes of a Horse” was a scripture verse that God revealed to her in her time of need - Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”  As Diana and Sterling surrendered their lives to His calling upon their lives, they find a real friend/love relationship with God through Jesus Christ.  A pattern of events develops from the interactions between an ordinary horse, Sterling, his ordinary cowgirl owner, Diana, and God that will draw the reader to the climax of the story…. discovering God’s purpose in their lives – “‘Not my will be done, but Yours (God’s) will be done” Luke 22:42.  Through prayer, their “Walk by Faith” was the loving trust that God was always with them.

What sets this truly heartwarming love between Sterling and Diana apart from other Children Christian books is that Sterling is the main character and narrator of the story.  She felt a desire within her heart to write a horse/human story in the mind set of thoughts and actions of how a child’s mind can understand in receiving a real heart felt relationship with God - though Jesus Christ.

What she found out is that the heart plays an important part in our lives.  Spiritually it is where we mature and grow in Christlikeness.  All of God’s working within us is through Jesus Christ.

What motivated her in finishing this Christ centered story, where Sterling and Diana shared the same warrior dream of adventuring out on the dusty trails, was the “Heart of the Cross.”  She says that this is where we find true love.  It is based upon who Jesus is, all that He has done for us, and all that He can accomplish as He lives in us. She wants this story to reveal to the reader the true meaning of love, where to find it, and what to do with it.  With a different perspective in seeing how we are God's children, whom He loves, she hopes that “Told Through the Eyes of a Horse” is read through childlike eyes.  She goes on to say that all of us, regardless of our age, have a childlike nature that needs Agape love from God the Father.  She reminds us to keep our eyes focused of Jesus Christ, in that we don't want to lose sight of Him.
