Dorian Radu is a professional artist from London with over 16 years of experience. His paintings have been displayed in multiple major exhibitions at prestigious venues such as the Wallace Collection, Mall Galleries, Royal Scottish Academy, or the Compton Verney Gallery. Some of his works currently sit in prestigious collections acknowledged and appraised by Sotheby’s.
Dorian’s portfolio of past portraits includes eminent figures such as Art Dealer Philip Mould OBE, Actors Sir Ian McKellen, Sir Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Matthew Goode and Ray Winstone, cricket legend Brian Lara, Prince Nicholas de Medforth-Mills of Romania, Trevor Nelson MBE, amongst others.
Even though most of his oil paintings are either medium or large-sized, Dorian is also the winner of The Gold Memorial Bowl, the most prestigious award in the world for miniature painting, which can be won by an artist only once in a lifetime and which is given during the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers Annual Exhibition. As a result, Dorian became a member of the aforementioned society, which is under the patronage of HM King Charles III.
