EDWARD JONAS DOMANSKIS,M.D.,F.A.C.S.
Dr. Edward Domanskis is in private practice of plastic and reconstructive surgery in Newport Beach, California. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery(Plastic) at the University of California(Irvine). Dr. Domanskis is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
After completing his post-graduate training in Plastic Surgery at the University of California(San Francisco), he was appointed Assistant Chief of Plastic Surgery at 2nd General US Army Hospital in Landstuhl, Germany, and served in the US Army, attaining the rank of Major. He is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners. He introduced video consultations over the internet and he lectures and consults worldwide.
He has performed charity work primarily in Eastern Europe where he has also lectured medical students and other physicians as well as taught them. For this, he was awarded a medal from the President of Lithuania. He has also participated in both winter and summer Olympics over the past 15 years in the capacity of physician, interpreter, liason.
He has introduced medical innovations such as tracheostomy for children for which he has two patents as well as instrumentation. He also has a skin care line, Organoderm, which is non toxic as well as ScaRxtape for wound therapy. His private practice is primarily limited to aesthetic, cosmetic surgery but he has extensive experience in all aspects of plastic surgery.
His focus has been on face and body contouring in patients that have lost massive amounts of weight. Because of his interest in this field, he formed the American Society of Bariatric Plastic Surgeons in 2008 and is its present President. Last year he also formed the International Society of Bariatric Plastic Surgeons of which he is the interim President.
