Effective emergency preparedness requires some knowledge, some common sense and a readiness to take action. Emergency Plan Guide provides weekly reminders about survival equipment and strategies, with emphasis on helping the people around you -- family, neighbors and co-workers -- be as prepared as possible, since they will be the true First Responders in a widespread emergency. Virginia Nicols and Joe Krueger, owners of the site, have various CERT and Red Cross certificates and over a dozen years' experience heading up their own neighborhood emergency response team.
