Enwave Chicago -- enwavechicago.com -- started operation in 1995 and this year celebrates 20 years of providing "more than cool" sustainable chilled-water service to buildings in downtown Chicago. It now air conditions 120 customers totaling more than 48 million square feet in the Loop, West Loop, South Loop and River North and is continuing to grow.

Enwave Chicago operates five chilled-water plants, four of which use ice-storage technology, to meet the cooling needs of 108,000 tons of contracted cooling capacity. The company has been a part of Brookfield Infrastructure Partners since August 2014. Brookfield is a proven infrastructure investor that owns and operates Enwave district energy systems in Chicago, Toronto, Houston, Las Vegas, New Orleans and Seattle.
