Telly award selection committee honors Full Throttle Intermedia for a broadcast commercial promoting Tampa Bay Radiation Oncology.

Tampa, FL, May 25, 2013, Full Throttle Intermedia (FTI) is proud to announce receiving their Fifth Telly Award for video production. FTI was awarded the Bronze Telly for outstanding achievement in the commercial titled “Cancer doesn’t care”. The commercial featured several people from diverse walks of life. Each on screen personality reinforced the common theme by starting each line of their dialogue with “Cancer doesn’t care”, then as in the case of the sixty-five year old man, finishing the phrase with, “…that I wanted to spend my golden years with my wife.

The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online film and video. The Telly Awards receives over 13,000 entries annually. FTI also won a second award in 2013 for their editing and script writing contributions on a production for the 2012 Republican Nation Convention Host Committee. The spot featured highlights and activities that the Tampa Bay area has to offer.

FTI worked closely with the client, Tampa Bay Radiation Oncology in developing the theme and scripting of the commercial. FTI was instrumental in every aspect of the spot including casting the talent. “This is the sixth commercial we produced for TBRO”, Miller said, and this is the third instance where the talent has successfully beaten cancer with the help of Tampa Bay Radiation Oncology featuring CyberKnife.  

The, award winning commercial features James Tokley as one of the actor portrayals. James is considered Tampa’s official poet laureate and overcame cancer several years back using the high-tech CyberKnife  procedure.
