Melissa Crandall is a free-lance writer residing in Connecticut.  Although inclined toward speculative fiction, she also writes science fiction, fantasy, and nonfiction.  

Her short story collection "Darling Wendy and Other Stories" (published by Seventh Circle Books) received the following praise from N.M. Kelby, author of WHALE SEASON and MURDER AT THE BAD GIRLS BAR & GRILL:  "Melissa Crandall re-imagines the fairytale form with a crystallized darkness that is both chilling and illuminating."

In addition to "Darling Wendy and Other Stories," Crandall is the author of Star Trek: Ice Trap (written in collaboration as L.A. Graf), Star Trek:  Shell Game, Quantum Leap:  Search and Rescue, and Earth 2.  She is a contributor to 5.5BW, Amoskeag: The Journal of Southern New Hampshire University, Animal Watch (the magazine for the ASPCA) and Strides (the magazine of the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association).
