LONDON, UK/ MUNICH, Germany- This season, the September 2019 edition of KEYHOUSE, will be creating an inspiring setting that sketches out the future path for the fashion and textile industry. Working in partnership with digital magazine FashNerd.com, attendees can look forward to experiencing collaborations like the KPMG x Microsoft at the KEYHOUSE.  

KPMG will be delivering a unique fusion of business, technology and fashion to the KEYHOUSE this season. Working together with the global IT group Microsoft, their objective is to help satisfy customers with their Omni Channel solution. It enables companies to gain a full 360° view of all customer touch points. KPMG will be introducing a combination of HoloLens, a new POS system, better process management tools and social media engagement designed to usher in a new world of retail fashion.

Besides various presentations, there will also be must-attend workshops taking place. One of the more anticipated ones is the smart textiles pop-up lab by Holst Centre x Pauline van Dongen. The pop-up lab that will show KEYHOUSE visitors how printed electronics can be integrated with textiles to create smart textiles. "I want to create more cross overs this way and share knowledge with this part of the industry", explained the Dutch creative.

The Lab will be demonstrating the process of printed electronics and the different steps, namely: printing – bonding – cutting – assembling. Also, they will be sharing their vision and approach by explaining how they develop concepts, how they develop designs, and how they work together with partners from the fashion industry.

Taking the issue of sustainability to another level this season, the KEYHOUSE will be holding a conversation with experts Li Edelkoort, Founder and President of the Parisian trend forecasting agency TREND UNION / LI EDELKOORT, Michael Stanley-Jones, Co-Secretary, UN Alliance for Sustainable Fashion – United Nations Environment Programme, Muchaneta Kapfunde, founding EiC of FashNerd, Tricia Carey, Director of Global Business Development – Denim at Lenzing Fibers, Natasha Franck, CEO & Founder EON Group Holdings Inc. and Erik Bang, H&M Foundation.

Sharing their knowledge stage, the SusTECHability panellists will be talking about How Trends & Technology influence Sustainability in Fashion on the KEYHOUSE stage on Tuesday, 3rd September 2019, 11.30 am – 1 pm. The hand-selected experts will be moderated by Jana Kern & Alex Vogt of KERN. Consulting.

A must attend keynote will be given by Natasha Franck, Founder & CEO of Eon. She will be talking about how digital identification and Internet of Things technology is creating a new digital foundation for industry. Natasha explains: "CircularID will create the digital foundation for the circular economy, making it possible to identify and manage products and materials across the lifecycle". Adding: "With CircularID, simple products will become intelligent data-generating assets, complete with a unique digital profile. This digital foundation will introduce unprecedented connectivity, unlocking intelligence essential for our circular future". Natasha's Keynote will be taking place on Wednesday 4th September 2019 from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm.

During the three day event, there will also be a screening of docuseries Catwalk to Creation. The short by Charney Magri, who is also part of the FashNerd Sustainability panel, highlights how the fashion industry, manufacturers, designers, brands, consumers and legislation need to understand the importance of designing for a lifetime, not a season. You will be able to watch it at the KEYHOUSE at 10 am on Tuesday and Wednesday, and at 2 pm on Thursday.

Munich Fabric Start will open their doors on Tuesday 3rd September 2019- Thursday 5th September 2019 from 9:30 am -6 pm.
