First Time Homebuyers and Veterans of NYC

Jamaica, NY – Local Air Force veteran and Senior Mortgage Banker announced today that he will be hosting a FREE Homebuyer Seminar in collaboration with the Queens Chamber of Commerce and Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) of Jamaica. This collaborative effort is first of its kind to help our Veterans and residents of the NYC area. The main focus of this seminar will be to educate First-Time would be homebuyers on the following:
• How to qualify for up to $15,000 Down Payment Assistant Grant for down-payment or closing cost
• How to get 100% financing + Closing Cost if you are a Veteran
• Low down-payment programs such as Zero, 3%, 3.5% and 5% down
• The entire home buying process and who are involved
• Pitfalls to avoid when buying a home
• Veterans, special assistance will be available to help you apply and acquire your Certificate of Eligibility (COE), bring your DD214
NHS representative will be on hand to determine grant eligibility and a VA expert will be available to help Veterans determine VA eligibility and applying for VA Certificate of Eligibility (COE).
