FocalHealth LLC (FH) is a spin-off of Nephro-Tech 1, LLC (NT1), a firm founded in 2001 by Kansas City entrepreneur G.P. Georges. G.P. started NT1 in order to develop  an exclusive  patent that he had acquired from the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) for the use of calcium formate for human consumption. He marketed the calcium formate ingredient under the trade name FormiCal®, and sub-licensed it to a number of prenatal vitamin companies.  In 2012 G.P. decided that the benefits of FormiCal® should not be limited to just the prenatal market, so he created FH to develop and market dietary supplements that improved both bone health and heart health in the general population. (FormiCal® Bone Health and FormiCal® Bone & Heart dietary supplements).

FH's goal is two-fold: to educate the consumer on bone health and heart health, and to provide the best products on the market to enable people to achieve good bone health and heart health {www.focalhealth.com or www.formical.com}. FH's target markets are women 40 years and older (bone health) and both men and women 50 years and older (bone & heart health). Reducing the risk of Osteoporosis and other bone related diseases as well as heart disease is a monumental task, but FH wants to help make that happen.

To educate the consumer, FH's website contains a calcium calculator, a learning center, a frequently asked questions section, and a doctor’s portal that explains the science behind FormiCal® and the white papers that explain the results of the clinical studies that back up the science.

FH's new patented calcium formate based products (FormiCal®) are the only calcium supplements that accomplish all of the following:
1.     Create no gas, no bloating, no constipation.
2.     Dissolve completely in water, so no stomach acid is required for absorption.  (allows more calcium to get into the blood stream faster than any other leading calcium supplement)
3.     Can be taken at any time of day or night. (no food required)
4.     Have a high content of elemental calcium, so the tablets/softgels are not “horse pills”.

FH's educational efforts and products aim to make life better for those people who take calcium and/or Fish Oil (Omega-3) supplements for better bone and/or heart health.
