For Pits' Sake, Inc., (http://www.ForPitsSake.org) is a 501(c)3 non profit organization that is a recognized leader for humane education, public safety programs, human and animal rescue, and therapy work with battered/abused and special needs children. For Pits' Sake's anti-cruely program Knock Out Dog Fighting (http://www.KnockOutDogFighting.org) and dog bite prevention program Safety Around Dogs (http://www.SafetyAroundDogs.org) have received national attention. Founded in 1997, For Pits’ Sake has received numerous awards for their work including the President of the United States Volunteer Service Award from President Obama, a Jefferson Award - The Nobel Prize for Community Service, and the American Red Cross Real Hero Award.
