Friends of Fifty is in cooperation with Moriah Hemingsway Health Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization that was established in 2004 in collaboration with Gaffney Health Services.
The Foundation’s ongoing mission is to facilitate a process through which the general uninsured working public will have access to health care. In addition, those individuals whom are dedicated to the science of medicine will have the opportunity to give back to the community through practicing the art of healing. Moriah Hemingsway Health Foundation strives to be the gatekeeper for health care promoting healing and caring to the underinsured of the Carolina s!
Our Goals and Objectives are:
Increase the primary health care services for the citizens of the Carolina's
Improve the overall health of the Mecklenburg County community
Increase awareness of the benefits of primary health care to low-income underinsured and uninsured workers
Reduce the cost and in some cases offer free pharmaceuticals to low-income and uninsured workers
Decrease unnecessary trips to Mecklenburg County hospital emergency rooms
Create and maintain a high quality of life in the Mecklenburg county community
Become an oasis in the area of health care
Establish a location for our patients to have a new home for health care
