About

G2SF was incorporated in 2008 and although the company is relatively new, its members are recognized as pioneers in the successful implementation of IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices within the Federal Government.  Dating back to 2001, G2SF’s founder (Greg Smith) supported one of the first ITIL implementations with the Department of Defense when his team of process engineers was asked by EDS (since acquired by HP) to implement ITIL best practices on the Command Communications Survivability Program (CCSP) at the Pentagon post 9/11.  This highly visible and successful program built a redundant network infrastructure within the Pentagon that is still being managed in accordance with the ITIL framework today.

The successful implementation of core ITIL processes on CCSP lead to rapid growth for Greg’s first service management company that was started in 2000.  In fact, during the period of 2001-2008 the first company realized double digit annual revenue growth from four primary lines of business; ITSM Consulting, ITSM Education, ITSM Enterprise Application Integration, and Technical Services that included network engineering, network operations, and network security.  These services were provided in support of numerous DoD/Federal Agencies and systems integrators including, for example, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, Department of Labor, Department of Transportation, United States Senate, Federal Reserve, Department of Justice, Security Exchange Commission, Pension Benefits Guarantee Corporation, U.S. Customs, U.S. Courts, AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, EDS, and others.

In 2008, Greg and Sean Fromm (G2SF Co-Founder) who managed the ITSM lines of business left their first service management company to start G2SF.  At G2SF, the Founders have been able to improve upon a successful business model that has provided significant value to numerous organizations for more than a decade.
