In March 2009, Mr. Tasman founded Commercial Property Southwest Florida, LLC, the only independently owned and operated member of the Cushman & Wakefield alliance in the state of Florida.
Mr. Tasman joined Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. in January 2007. Prior to joining
C & W, Mr. Tasman directed the largest revenue generating team at Grubb & Ellis | VIP. He has more than 25 years experience in the real estate industry. In addition to office, retail and industrial site analyses, Mr. Tasman’s expertise includes market and financial feasibility studies. These skills, in tandem with his sales and communication talents, have enabled him to close approximately 725 transactions with a gross value of more than $400 million in the past six years.
Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Tasman was recognized for his achievements in Southwest Florida’s commercial market. Throughout Tasman’s real estate career he has consistently been recognized as a skilled student of the market. However, the accolades transcend Tasman’s local market achievements. His keen sense for identifying winning strategies and opportunities has led to numerous local, regional and national achievement awards. Mr. Tasman has been named the Top Revenue Producing Associate of the Year for Grubb & Ellis | VIP every year from 2000 to 2006. He was recognized as the Top Generating Affiliate Associate for Grubb & Ellis globally in 2005 as well as Top 10 Revenue Generating Associate for 2002, 2003 and 2004.
In addition to being recognized as a leading producer in the national commercial real estate arena, Mr. Tasman is regarded statewide and regionally as an expert on Southwest Florida commercial real estate. On a regular basis, he speaks to the public and professional organizations on current commercial real estate trends; for the last five years he was a weekly newspaper columnist for the Cape Coral Breeze; is a special guest columnist for the Commercial Connection in the Fort Myers News-Press on the topics concerning commercial real estate and he is often quoted in statewide newspapers like the Florida Real Estate Journal, Gulf Coast Business Review and Florida Business Weekly.
Mr. Tasman is a Florida State Real Estate Broker and sales person and actively participates in numerous professional and civic organizations. Memberships include the Horizon Council of Lee County, the South Fort Myers Rotary Club, the Real Estate Investment Society (REIS), the Florida Chapter of Certified Commercial and Investment Members (CCIM), and the Commercial and Investment Professionals (CIP).
Further, Mr. Tasman is a founding member of the Lee County Conservation 20/20 Land Trust and Stewardship Advisory Committee from its formation in 1996 until November of 2008. He is a past Chairman for the Cape Coral Council for Progress. Mr. Tasman is also a founding organizing director of Southwest Capital Bank, a national start up bank which received its charter from the Federal Governments’ office of Currency and Controller in July 2006.
