About

The Center for Gender and Sexuality Law has established Columbia Law School as the preeminent law school for the study of and specialization in the law of gender and sexuality. Interested students will find at Columbia rich and diverse course offerings, the nation’s first Sexuality and Gender Law Clinic, the opportunity to publish scholarship online as part of our blog, and many faculty members whose teaching and scholarship focus on an array of problems in the domains of sexuality and gender.

The Center is also the home of the Public Rights/Private Conscience Project, a policy think tank.  The mission of the Public Rights/Private Conscience Project is to bring legal academic expertise to bear on the multiple contexts in which religious liberty rights conflict with or undermine other fundamental rights to equality and liberty.
