GLOBAL ARTISTS COLLECTIVE represents performing artists of the world, from the traditional to the contemporary, whose programs illustrate cross-cultural connections in the arts. Genres of music & dance range from Soul/R&B and Funk to WorldBeat.
Our currently featured ensemble is GLOBAL HEAT which has two new special programs:
1) Music Soulstice! The Roots, Golden Age & Impact of Soul Music in America; and
2) Soul Revolution! Rhymes, Beats & Dance – a collaboration with Fraggle Rock Crew dancers that traces the early emergence and development of hip hop dance styles through the decades accompanied by live music.
