About

The Goodback Scoliosis and Back Pain Clinic is run by Damien Mearns, ASMI therapist and is located in London Colney, Hertfordshire, within a short driving distance from London. The clinic uses the revolutionary ASMI machine (Advanced Spinal Mobilisation Instrument), in combination with other physical modalities such as pulsed ultrasound and electric muscle stimulation, to treat scoliosis, kyphosis and other back conditions, with impressive results.

The ASMI machine is a non-surgical device that aims to reduce the curvature of the spine caused by scoliosis. ASMI stands for Advanced Spinal Mobilisation Instrument. It works by stretching the tight ligaments that hold the vertebrae in the wrong position and stimulating the spinal reflexes to move them back to the correct alignment. ASMI machine can produce significant improvements in the scoliosis curve, as well as reduce pain and other symptoms.

Damien Mearns was trained by Irene Phillips, the first osteopath
in the world who used the ASMI machine. Damien’s treatment plans
are based on techniques developed by Dr. Paul Sherwood (Deceased),
Consultant at St Barts Hospital and Harley Street physician.
Damien combines the use of ASMI with pulsed
Ultrasound, EMS and Infrared therapy, for optimal results.
