The program also supports playlists in M3U, PLS, and WPL format. A powerful scheduler is included that can start recording while your computer is in standby or hibernate mode and can also connect to your favorite radio station automatically. Total Recorder Add-ons can be used for video recording and sound enhancements. They can improve the quality of your cassette or vinyl records and voice dictating tremendously. Total Recorder is now supplied with new kernel mode driver that makes it fully compatible with Windows Vista x32. This new driver resolves compatibility problems associated with Direct Sound.

What's new in Total Recorder

The Professional Edition V7.0 includes the following new features:

  • Ability to make a background recording (rip) of Internet-broadcasts in MP3, WMA and Ogg Vorbis formats without using an external player, thus avoiding decoding and re-encoding.
  • Time Shift feature that enables you to record an audio file and listen to it (from any position) while the file is being recorded.
  • Support of CUE-sheet files. Now Total Recorder provides the functionality of creating CUE-points, which can be used for splitting a file afterwards. CUE-points can be created manually, for example to make a bookmark in a sound file, or automatically during recording session (based on pause reduction, changes of the clip information in an external player, etc.) or while capturing Internet transmissions when information about a track is changed (if such information is provided by server).
  • Many other enhanc ements.
