Habitat for Humanity of South Central New Jersey

Habitat for Humanity of South Central New Jersey (Habitat SCNJ) is an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, and serves Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Mercer, and parts of Middlesex County in New Jersey, impacting over 1.6 million residents in 113 municipalities.

Habitat SCNJ provides permanent housing solutions for local low to moderate income families  and helps NJ towns become more equitable, diverse, modern, accessible, and safe by building homes and selling them to income-qualified families, as well as repairing homes for existing homeowners.

We welcome volunteers of all skill levels to come out to our construction sites.  Activities take place at all stages of construction, so a volunteer may perform tasks like hanging cabinets, installing siding, and laying flooring for new construction, and landscaping, painting, and carpentry work for repairs. No skills necessary! Our trained staff teaches our volunteers everything they need to know and provides options for those who are unsure of their capabilities.
