Hard-Target Living (HTL) is dedicated to equipping individuals, families, schools, and organizations with the tools, skills, and confidence to stay safe and aware in an unpredictable world. Founded on the belief that prevention is a superpower, HTL provides engaging, practical training in situational awareness, personal safety, and risk management that is accessible to everyone — not just security professionals.
HTL offers a variety of programs tailored to meet the needs of different audiences. From corporate and school workshops to family-focused training, each program emphasizes recognizing potential threats, avoiding unnecessary risk, and responding effectively if danger arises.
In addition to live training and resources, HTL extends its mission to children through the Valencia Rose book series, a collection of chapter books designed to teach kids about body language, emotional awareness, and personal safety in an empowering, age-appropriate way. These stories help children develop the confidence to trust their instincts, set boundaries, and navigate social challenges with resilience.
HTL also created the Peace Partners program, a school-based initiative that combines role-playing, journaling, and group discussions to help children practice conflict resolution, empathy, and emotional intelligence. This program complements the Valencia Rose series and provides schools with a practical framework to foster safer, more supportive environments.
Through its innovative blend of training, literature, and youth programs, Hard-Target Living helps people of all ages become more aware, less vulnerable, and better prepared — turning everyday people into hard targets for harm.
