Highland Park Fight Club and Highland Park Friendship Club is an award winning martial arts academy and creative space focusing on teaching adults and children the grappling arts in a safe, inclusive environment. Founded in 2024 by black belts under the renowned UFC fighter and jiu jitsu champion Demian Maia, HLPFC is one of the fast growing community businesses in the Northeast Los Angeles area. Their children's program is a favorite among eastside parents and their summer camps, where children use jiu jitsu as a lens to develop physical and emotional creativity, body awareness, fitness, balance, and coordination, has seen rapid growth as parents are looking for ways to raise confident and resilient children.
