About

IIDS is one of the channels for fulfilling the great commission of God by reaching the deaf and interpreting communities in an educational setting. By rising up bold leaders and teachers and sending out anointed laborers, the deaf community will come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.

It is the mission of IIDS to train leaders and educators, both deaf and hearing, interpreters and workers with the deaf to evangelize. We offer skill development in American Sign Language and Deaf Culture, technology and religious training. As a result, leaders, educators, sign language interpreters, workers/teachers of deaf children and adults around the country will make a dynamic impact on society.

IIDS, Inc. goal is to assist and enable individuals to do the task before them by providing them with the means, opportunity, empowerment and/or authority to make each effort effective. Upon conception of this organization, we looked for a logo that would embody that purpose. We searched for a logo that would not necessarily say who we are, but rather, would share our purpose. Thus, our logo (Enable Light) reflects IIDS, Inc. being a light to the Deaf and Interpreting communities, with the Word being our center, and the Light of the World being represented by the people of God. It serves as a constant reminder of what we are about.

IIDS, Inc. has been represented by this logo since its conception and is now identified by it. IIDS, Inc.’s previous web site was www.enablelight.com.

IIDS, Inc. is incorporated and approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a non-profit charity (5013c) IIDS, Inc. was founded by Paul William Ellis and incorporated on February 16, 1994.
