About |
In the Wake TV is more than a streaming service; we are an independent Black media platform and a digital equity movement. Uncompromising in our mission, we center Black life through powerful, authentic storytelling—delivering news that matters, uplifting community voices that inspire, and providing live coverage that connects us all.
Rooted in anti-colonial and cooperative principles, we explicitly challenge mainstream media’s historical erasure of Black, Indigenous, and marginalized communities. We recognize that representation isn't enough; we must own the means of distribution. To that end, we are building the infrastructure for digital liberation, transforming streaming technology from a tool of corporate extraction into a platform for collective storytelling, cultural preservation, and community power.
Our work is deeply intersectional. We stand in firm solidarity with Native struggles for sovereignty and representation, rural communities fighting the digital divide, and all global movements resisting technological and cultural erasure. By bridging the gap between high-tech infrastructure and grassroots activism, we ensure that our stories are told by us, for us, and preserved for generations to come.
It’s time to move beyond the traditional gatekeepers. Cut the cord. Join the movement. Stream authentic Black culture and independent media anywhere, anytime.
Welcome to the future of liberated media.
