The International Society of Medical AI (ISMAI) is an independent, clinician-led, vendor-neutral medical AI society and registered charity in Ireland (RCN 20206982), focused on the safe, evidence-based, ethical and responsible implementation of artificial intelligence in medicine.

ISMAI brings together clinicians, AI scientists, researchers, ethicists, legal scholars, policymakers and healthcare leaders working across medical AI, clinical AI, patient safety, evidence, governance and professional responsibility.

ISMAI organises the International Symposium on Medical AI, its flagship scientific meeting. The symposium provides an international forum for the scientific, clinical, ethical and societal questions arising from the integration of artificial intelligence into medicine.

The 2026 International Symposium on Medical AI, ISMAI 2026, will take place in Florence, Italy, on 3–4 December 2026.
