About

The Idaho Vacation Rental Association (IVRA) is a statewide organization dedicated to advocating for the rights of short-term rental (STR) owners, property managers, and industry stakeholders. We work to ensure fair, transparent, and balanced regulations that support Idaho’s thriving tourism economy while protecting private property rights.

As short-term rentals play an essential role in providing diverse lodging options for visitors, IVRA actively engages with legislators, local governments, and community leaders to push back against overreaching regulations that unfairly target STR owners. Our mission is to create a sustainable and well-regulated STR industry that benefits homeowners, travelers, and local businesses alike.

IVRA provides members with vital resources, including legislative updates, advocacy tools, and best practices for responsible STR management. We also serve as a unified voice for Idaho STR owners, ensuring they have representation in policy discussions that impact their properties and livelihoods.

With the introduction of Senate Bill 1162 (S1162), IVRA has taken a leading role in advocating for statewide protections that prevent unfair taxation, excessive fees, and restrictive zoning laws that discriminate against STR owners. As S1162 moves through the legislative process, we are committed to engaging lawmakers, mobilizing STR supporters, and countering misinformation with data-driven advocacy.

Whether you are a homeowner, property manager, or STR industry professional, IVRA invites you to join us in protecting property rights and ensuring a fair future for Idaho’s short-term rental market.
