About

The Intercontinental Research Institute IRI has truly led the way in European clinical research. Established in 2000 as the  regional Centre of Excellence, the InterContinental Research Institute Sciences unit  is one of the largest commercial trial management operations in the pharmaceutical industry.
Employees of IRI  plan, design, manage, monitor, and analyse medical trials, not only in Europe, but throughout the world. The research institute’s primary focus is on commercialisation studies for a number of continents as well as registration studies for Europe.
By efficiently developing, facilitating, analysing and publishing clinical trials done in Europe  and around the world,  IRI helps to develop the evidence-base proving the value of our client companies medicines to answer patients’ health needs.
IRI focuses on multi-affiliate and regional studies, such as the largest trial on humans for a new anti-obesity medicine.
IRI’s work directly impacts the creation and timing of new markets for  medicines, not only in Europe, but in the much larger markets of the United States and Asia. It is also a global source of expertise and innovation in commercialisation studies and clinical research.
The scientific and technological basis for IRI  activity is world class, and comes under scrutiny from some of the best peer review medical journals in existence, such as the Journal of the American Medical Association and the New England Journal of Medicine.
IRI also works with strategic partners worldwide. The Institute provides our client companies  with the impetus to develop strategic alliances with other  research institutions, and to increase our involvement in preclinical and early stage research and development.
