Our students are in Grades 2-7 who were not able to achieve their learning potential in their past school environments. Many come to James Cameron after experiencing frustration and failure in their previous schools where their learning needs were not being met. As a result, students often dealt with feelings of low self-confidence, frustration and high anxiety when faced with academic tasks.

The words “I can’t” are often heard coming from new students who haven’t been able to trust that they can learn. At James Cameron, this changes to “I CAN” when they build confidence by engaging in academic tasks successfully. Through personalized learning, and with the support and skill of our highly trained teachers and tutors, our students do learn and meet with success.

A transformative learning experience

Whatever your child’s experiences may have been in the past, our goal is to help change “I can’t” into “I CAN”. Our students travel from Maple Ridge, Tri-Cities, South Surrey, Langley, Abbotsford and Mission to attend JCS. We strive to deliver an education that will not only help children be successful academically, but more importantly, will provide them with the self-confidence and tools to succeed in life beyond our school doors.
