BARTLESVILLE, OKLAHOMA – Kevin A Knowles continues to press forward in his Smooth Jazz album, ‘Dusk Or Dawn’. This fourth endeavor from Kevin’s studio, is a clear call to look at each step as the first. That thought is presented at face-value by the track, ‘Paradigm’. The previous releases: ‘Kevin’; ‘Plans’; and ‘Day By Day’ have all been received well, with growing listenership.
Kevin A Knowles, a one-man production team/band, writes and records each track just like his live shows (which are heavily dependent on looping his grooves). Kevin’s travels with various Funk and Jazz bands leave the listener unable to put a geographic frame to his music. Having grown up within brief miles of the GAP Band and Wayman Tisdale; Kevin’s music had very similar influences. The grooves by Kevin A Knowles, on all four albums, show distinguishable recent influences from Paul Hardcastle and Norman Brown.
Dusk or Dawn is an album that keeps the listener’s head bobbing to the groove, all while leading you on an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. Kevin A Knowles intends to follow the implied advice of ‘Dusk Or Dawn’ by pressing forward with more, and better music in the future.
