About

Khanqah Emadia Qalandaria is a historic Sufi centre located in Mangal Talab (formerly Mangle’s Tank), Patna City, Bihar.

Founded by Hazrat Khwaja Emaduddin Qalandar (1065 - 1124 AH) of the Suhrawardī-Qalandarī lineage, the khanqah has from its inception been dedicated to spiritual teaching, public welfare and inter-communal harmony.

Over the centuries the khanqah attracted theologians, poets and physicians, and weathered the passage of time by maintaining its mission of guidance and service to humanity.

Today it continues under the stewardship of the current Sajjāda Nashin, Maulana Syed Shah Misbahul Haque Emadi, who upholds the tradition of spiritual instruction and communal outreach established by the founder.

In short, Khanqah Emadia Qalandaria stands as a living institution that blends Sufi spirituality with social service, open to seekers of peace, knowledge and unity.
