Author of books and e-books, Lawrence Matthews has won awards in film and computers since the 50's. In 1999 he formed Digi-Art and began offering digital painted portraits on canvas. His was the pioneering effort for an instant giclee canvas process.
His degree is Journalism, minor in Geology. He has produced, edited and directed motion pictures, written countless magazine articles, and explored cave systems for the National Park Service. He was Editor of the NSS News, the monthly magazine of the National Speleological Society (professional cave explorers). He is a Fellow of the Society and served on its Board of Directors. He is an instrument rated pilot and a noted pet photographer.
He is now retired, but still makes prints from his collection of more than 8,000 dog and cat portraits, plus landscapes and nature. A selection of his images are featured on Fine Art America. His new book is a memoir featuring a lifetime of cats, The Cat Connection, now on Kindle.
