Lou Kritz writes fiction, most notably "Dark Angel Amish", which is a story of the ruthless cult atmosphere that governs members of what appears to be a bucolic, primitive society, the Amish in PA Dutch Country. It is the story of how the actions of scurrilous church leaders punish and affect church members, and how those outside the faith are drawn into the drama and have their lives changed in the process.
Additionally, Kritz has written non-fiction books on bariatric surgery, many business articles, and historical descriptions of the southwestern Pennsylvania coalfields in the mid-20th century.
