Lakeshore Academic Publishing is an independent academic press focused on bridging the disciplines of applied behavior analysis, clinical mental health counseling, and neuroscience. Founded by William Cormier, M.S., RBT, the press publishes research-grounded work that addresses the intersection of sensory processing, self-regulation, and neurodivergent experience.
The press's debut publication, HyperSensory-Motofixation: A New Framework for Understanding Sensory Fixation, Self-Regulation, and the Neuroscience of the Digital Age, introduces two original terms into the scientific literature: HyperSensory-Motofixation (HSM) and Induced Transient Neurodivergent-Like State (ITNLS).
