LA Loc & Crown is a Black-owned cultural event rooted in community, creativity, and the celebration of locs and natural hair. Taking place in the heart of Leimert Park and the Beehive, Los Angeles, this gathering brings together creatives, entrepreneurs, and community members for an intentional space that honors Black identity, self-expression, and legacy.
Created to spotlight the cultural significance of locs and natural hair, LA Loc & Crown serves as both a social experience and a creative showcase. The event highlights small businesses, artists, and natural hair creatives while fostering connection, collaboration, and visibility within the community.
Founded by Los Angeles entrepreneur Christy, LA Loc & Crown was built from a desire to create space where Black culture is centered and celebrated authentically. The event emphasizes representation, economic empowerment, and cultural pride, offering attendees an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals in a welcoming and uplifting environment.
Guests can expect an engaging atmosphere featuring music, curated vendors, creative expression, and community networking. LA Loc & Crown is designed to be inclusive, celebratory, and reflective of the diverse beauty and stories within the natural hair and loc community.
This event also serves as a lead-up to LA Loc & Crown’s larger flagship festival planned for August 29, 2026, held at the Beehive which will further expand the brand’s mission on a broader scale.
LA Loc & Crown is more than an event it is a celebration of culture, creativity, and community, honoring the crowns we wear and the stories they carry.
